Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas

February is just around the corner and I am already daydreaming about Valentine’s Day. It’s the time to get away from boring winter shades by dressing glamorously and playing with reds and pinks. The thought of receiving gifts and surprises on V-day excites me a lot though I rarely get it, haha 😉 This happens after we have kids as we get so busy in taking care of them that we forget ourselves. I think most of you can relate to it. I hope Mr. Hubby is reading it and gets me one this time 😉 But we do celebrate V-day romantically and I love the thought of celebrating it.

No matter you go on a date night or celebrate at home, you shouldn’t leave an excuse to dress your best. Here are my favorite V-day outfits.

1 . Red and white combo – Reds and Pinks are the colors of the day! So I have picked this red sweater from Forever21 in $20 and have teamed it with my white Charlotte Russe tulle skirt. I preferred wearing pink lip stain(Estee Lauder pure color envy 220) in the day time as I wanted my makeup to be subtle for the day. If you have any plans to go out in day time, then this outfit would be perfect for you. For accessories, I decided to go with my Coach chain wallet, Fossil watch and Express Sunnies. You can also transition this outfit to the night time by applying bold red lip stain.

2. Ruffled dress – V-day is all about love and what could be a better way to dress than a ruffled prom dress for a date night. I have a special inclination towards prom dresses. Aren’t they cute? This black and white prom dress is one of my favorite from my closet. ‘Tis an old dress but never looks out of style so I thought this can be one of the option for V-day. The black and white ensemble paired with a bold red lips still gives nod to the V-day and ruffles on the shoulder accentuate the style. Those who are not too fond of wearing reds and pinks can give it a try. I have teamed this dress with my zebra pumps but you can wear black sandals with it. And on lips I am wearing Lancome’s color design retro rouge shimmer for the glossy look. Carry a clutch and you are good to go! As this dress is from my closet so it isn’t available online but I am linking similar dresses below.

3. Peplum dress – Another Valentine’s Day dress which is not red or pink is my Navy blue peplum dress. Can you believe I got this dress from Charlotte Russe in just $12 :). This peplum dress bares shoulders and flaunts curves and is perfect for a date night. Add Maroon heels and the outfit is V-day ready. Just like Ruffles, Peplum adds to the glam and is perfect for a date night. This dress is also from my closet and is not available online now but I have found some cute peplum dresses for you in the links below.

Tip: Try red/Maroon rock stud or bow detail heels this V-day and make any outfit V-day ready

You can also add a pop of red by wearing these trendy tassel earrings under $7

So have you decided already what you are going to wear this Valentines? I definitely have 🙂

Happy Valentines day!

XOXO
